Medical Billing Position: We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team remotely. This role involves preparing and submitting accurate medical claims to insurance companies, verifying patient insurance coverage, and resolving billing issues.

About the Role:

This is a part-time on rotation position that requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical billing software. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be proficient in MS Office Suite.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and be able to maintain accurate and organized billing records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues.
  • Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
  • Generate and send patient statements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and insurance guidelines.
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes.
  • Proficient with medical billing software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
