Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic experience of our students.

This role requires a deep understanding of the subject matter, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Meet Annual Targets: Collaborate with departmental leaders to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  2. Teaching Excellence: Contribute to securing a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students by working towards targets set by academic administrators.
  3. Course Delivery: Teach assigned courses in accordance with faculty workload policies, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education.
  4. Professional Development: Continuously develop your own teaching and learning skills, contributing to the planning of teaching programs and enhancing your expertise.
  5. Innovative Teaching: Employ innovative strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons, fostering critical thinking and debate among students.
  6. Student Supervision: Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, providing guidance and support as needed.
  7. Assessment and Feedback: Set, mark, and assess work and examinations, providing constructive feedback to students to aid their growth.
  8. Student Performance: Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance for internal evaluation.
  9. Mentoring: Execute the mentoring of 15 to 20 students, promoting academic excellence and personal development.
  10. Software Updates: Update data in virtual learning environments and other required software as necessary.
  11. Value-Based Education: Incorporate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices, linking them to relevant course material and activities.
  12. Departmental Contributions: Participate in departmental committees as required, ensuring alignment with institutional mission and goals.
  13. Attendance Monitoring: Supervise/random check of student attendance in classes/labs/practicals, maintaining a conducive learning environment.
  14. Research and Publication: Engage in independent research, act as principal investigator, and project leader, publishing findings or disseminating results through appropriate media.
  15. Line Management: Act as a line manager, supervising the work of others in research teams, projects, or as PhD supervisor when required.
  16. Additional Duties: Perform any additional duties assigned by departmental leaders, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to the role.
