Job Description:

The role of Deputy Production Manager at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is critical in driving operational efficiency and ensuring quality excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex manufacturing processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in creating and managing production schedules to meet customer demands while ensuring adherence to DRAP regulations, GMP, and FDA standards.
2. Monitor daily production activities, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols in controlled production areas.
3. Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures are followed, and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues or deviations from required quality standards, and work closely with production staff to maintain productivity and safety.
5. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure cost-effective operations through lean manufacturing practices.
6. Oversee machine maintenance, ensuring all necessary equipment is in working order to minimize production downtime.
7. Monitor raw material usage, coordinate with the Procurement Department to maintain optimal inventory levels, and prepare regular production reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, biomedical, or related field; a master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.

Skills:

1. Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches, surgical bandages & tapes, sterilization processes (e.g., Electron Beam, Gamma Radiation).
2. Working knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements.
3. Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

1. Full-time position at a manufacturing facility.
2. Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
