Job Title: Anthropometric AssistantOur team at the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy is seeking an experienced and skilled anthropometric assistant to join us.
About the Role:
- Conduct anthropometric measurements, including MUAC, weight, and height/length measurements for children and pregnant/lactating women in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements and updates on TSFP and OTP registers.
- Deliver Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, and maternal and child health.
- Clean and maintain anthropometric equipment, ensuring it is stored securely.
- Support the reporting process by assisting in the preparation of daily and weekly reports related to measurements and awareness sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- In the absence of a designated Crowd Controller, manage beneficiary flow at the field centre and maintain the Crowd Controller Register.
- Participate in need-based field visits to support social mobilization activities.
- Follow up on defaulters and due cases, especially SAM and MAM cases, as directed by the FC Coordinator.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in community-based health/nutrition programs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of basic nutrition concepts, particularly stunting, wasting, SAM/MAM.
- Proficient in performing MUAC, height/length, and weight measurements.
- Familiarity with SBCC approaches and maintaining health/nutrition records.
- Good interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in field settings.
- Ability to manage crowds and assist in client flow during busy hours.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in Urdu and the local dialect of Chunian district.
- Basic English communication skills for reporting and coordination purposes.
