Machine Learning Engineer - Security Research

We are seeking a talented and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance malware detection, malicious URL detection, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) incident detection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the security research team to develop machine learning models for detecting malware across multiple platforms (mobile, web, and network-based).
  • Analyze and process large datasets of known and unknown malicious activities to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
  • Use AI to identify and classify malicious URLs by analyzing patterns, content, and other relevant features.
  • Build models capable of detecting phishing, fraud, and other types of harmful URLs in real-time.
  • Integrate machine learning models into SIEM systems to improve threat detection capabilities.
  • Develop algorithms that detect anomalies, predict security incidents, and automate incident response actions.
  • Data Processing and Feature Engineering:
  • Work with large and complex security data sources to engineer features suitable for machine learning.
  • Collaborate with the research team to clean and preprocess raw data for model training.
  • Model Development and Deployment:
  • Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models using state-of-the-art techniques (e.g., supervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning).
  • Deploy models into production environments, ensuring they scale and integrate seamlessly with existing security infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with Security Research:
  • Work closely with security experts to understand evolving threats and identify new attack vectors that machine learning can help detect.
  • Translate research insights into actionable machine learning solutions for security applications.
  • Regularly assess the performance of deployed models, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the model development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and cybersecurity to continuously improve detection capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence, with a focus on security applications.
  • Experience in applying ML techniques to solve real-world security problems like malware detection, anomaly detection, or intrusion detection.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying ML models at scale.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
