• Key Responsibilities

1. Database Installation and Maintenance

• Install, configure, and maintain relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databases.

Tasks include:

1. Database Performance Optimization

• Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to improve query execution times.

Ongoing activities include:

1. Performance Optimization

• Implement indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques to handle high-traffic and large datasets.

Additional duties include:

1. Backup and Recovery

• Design and execute robust backup and recovery strategies using tools like pgBackRest, Percona XtraBackup, or native database tools.

Responsibilities also include:

1. Database Security

• Implement advanced security measures such as data encryption, access control, and auditing.

Further responsibilities include:

1. Cloud Database Management

• Manage cloud-based database solutions, including AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud SQL.

You will also be responsible for:

1. Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with developers to design efficient database schemas, stored procedures, and triggers.

Your tasks may include:

1. Automation and Scripting

• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Other responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring and Logging

• Set up and manage database monitoring systems using tools like Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, or SolarWinds DPA.

We are looking for an individual who can:

• Ensure databases comply with industry standards like GDPR, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

The requirements for this role include:

• 2-4 years of proven experience in database administration, including managing enterprise-level databases.

This position offers:

• Familiarity with relative AI-powered code assistants, and AI-driven DevSecOps tools is preferred.

The skills required for this job include:

• Relational databases: Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.

You will also need to be familiar with:

• NoSQL databases: Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, or DynamoDB.

This role requires expertise in:

• Cloud platforms: Expertise in cloud database solutions like AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL, and AWS Aurora.

The technical skills required for this job include:

• Database tools and utilities: Proficient with tools like pgAdmin, MySQL Workbench, Toad for Oracle, and Studio 3T.

Additionally, you should be familiar with:

• Backup and recovery: Knowledge of tools like pgBackRest, Percona XtraBackup, and SQL Server Maintenance Plans.

This position requires:

• Monitoring and automation: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, and automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet.

The technical knowledge required for this job includes:

• Scripting and query languages: Proficient in SQL, PL/pgSQL, T-SQL, and scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Security tools and standards:

• Familiarity with SSL/TLS, IAM policies, and database-specific security tools.
