Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to oversee daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, prepare financial reports, and lead a team of accounting professionals.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent management abilities, and fluency in English.

They will have an MBA from a top-tier institute, preferably based in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting:
    • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions following applicable standards (e.g., IFRS).
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • People Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
    • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct reviews.
    • Foster a positive work environment.
    • Identify training needs and facilitate professional development.
    • Communicate expectations and provide feedback.
    • Handle employee relations issues.
  • Financial Analysis and Control:
    • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs.
    • Implement internal controls to protect assets.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
    • Provide financial insights to management.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects.
    • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
