Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery, a global leader in the media and entertainment industry.

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network architectures to protect our company's digital assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security audits against our global network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the efficacy of security measures.

  • Implement security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other network security measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

  • Collaborate with network administrators and IT stakeholders to ensure network security designs meet established standards and regulations.

  • Develop automated reporting on network security posture for presentation to executive management and stakeholders.

  • Lead security and vulnerability assessments on new, existing, and affiliated network configurations to ensure they meet our security requirements.

  • Review and approve security configurations for routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, load balancers, etc.

  • Develop, review, and update network security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with our corporate functions, including Internal Audit, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure that Warner Bros. Discovery maintains a strong cybersecurity posture.

  • Communicate technical security issues and their implications to management and other business leaders to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies and Panorama.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or 5+ years of previous network security experience.

  • Proficiency in networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP/POP3/IMAP, and LDAP, along with associated security measures and vulnerabilities.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detailed understanding of the threats faced by consumer and digital platform organizations.

  • Hands-on experience securing hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience hardening network and security appliances.

  • Detailed technical experience supporting and implementing SIEM & logging tools (Splunk, Kibana, etc.) and extracting actionable intelligence from large volumes of aggregated log storage.

  • Thorough understanding of network and enterprise IT infrastructure, as well as security aspects thereof.

  • Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks affecting architecture designs and reviews.

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Github CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience integrating network security tools with other systems for comprehensive threat detection and analysis.

  • Security certifications (CISSP, CCIE, PCNSE, CISA, SANS, Security+, etc.) are a plus.
