Elderly Healthcare Trainer

The Aga Khan University seeks to empower educators and healthcare professionals to address the growing demand for quality education and healthcare services in the developing world.

The Brain and Mind Institute is a strategic initiative at the Aga Khan University focusing on capacity building in East Africa and South and Central Asia.

• Design develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of elderly care providers.
• Develop instructional materials that integrate best practices and evidence-based approaches in elderly care.
• Deliver training sessions using blended learning pedagogies to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Utilize Virtual Learning Environment H5P and AI tools to enhance teaching sessions and assessments.
• Conduct module exams and skill assessments analyzing feedback to continuously improve training sessions.
• Provide guidance and resources for online teaching and learning experiences.
• Coordinate logistics for theoretical and practical teaching sessions ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
• Visit clinical sites to mentor healthcare professionals and enhance their skills.
• Collaborate with project managers local authorities and stakeholders to align training initiatives with project goals.
• Maintain records of training sessions and present progress reports to department heads.

• Undergraduate degree in Healthcare disciplines or equivalent. A Master of Science in Nursing from an HEC recognized university is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in Public Health with a focus on elderly healthcare being desirable. At least one year of adult teaching experience with a blended learning approach is preferred.
• Research and publication experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency in teaching and using new methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong planning organizing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant technology tools.
