2D Animator

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced 2D animator with a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in character animation, effects animation, and other relevant techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality 2D animated content that meets project requirements
  • Work closely with art directors, storyboard artists, and other team members to ensure that animations align with project vision and goals
  • Create and animate characters, backgrounds, and other assets using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, or other relevant software
  • Animate characters and objects in various styles and techniques, including traditional hand-drawn animation, cut-out animation, and puppet animation
  • Ensure that animation is consistent with project style guide and specifications
  • Meet project deadlines and deliver quality work under tight schedules
  • Collaborate with other artists and animators to create seamless transitions between scenes and shots
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and efficiently
  • Continuously improve skills and stay up-to-date with the latest animation techniques and software

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 2D animation, including character animation and effects animation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Flash, Toon Boom Harmony, or other relevant software
  • Experience with various animation styles and techniques
  • Good understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, and weight
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Key Requirements
  • Adobe After Effects proficiency: You must be skilled in using After Effects software to create 2D animations.
  • Animation principles: You should have a good understanding of animation principles, such as timing, spacing, and movement, and apply them in your work.
  • Illustration skills: You should be able to create and design original characters, backgrounds, and other elements of a 2D animation.
  • Knowledge of 2D animation techniques: You should have a good knowledge of various 2D animation techniques, such as cut-out animation, frame-by-frame animation, and rigging.
  • Time management: You should be able to manage your time effectively and meet project deadlines.
  • Continuous learning: You should be open to learning new techniques, software, and tools to improve your skills and stay updated with the latest trends in the industry.
