Electrical Design Engineer Job Opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing high voltage power distribution systems and electrical building services for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage construction plans, designs, and specifications for high voltage power distribution systems and electrical building services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with codes and standards, meeting quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
  • Assist in designing airport Airfield Lighting Systems (AFL) and Airfield Ground Lighting and Control and Monitoring Systems (AGLCMS), supporting the development of design drawings and tender documentation.
  • Advise on procurement of spare parts and services for AFL maintenance, supporting system capacity studies and future project planning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in high voltage electrical systems and building services in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with high voltage substations and distribution systems is highly desirable.
  • Possession of knowledge in power monitoring and control systems would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with M&E design codes and standards is necessary.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

This is a 3-year contract position with potential renewal. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
