Civil Engineer Role

This position involves working as a Civil Engineer to design, plan, and execute various civil engineering projects. The role requires strong technical skills, good communication, and leadership abilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Undertake site investigations and feasibility studies
  • Use computer software for detailed designs and perform complex calculations
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Compile job specifications and supervise tendering
  • Resolve design and development problems
  • Manage budgets and resources
  • Schedule materials and equipment
  • Ensure legal compliance and health and safety
Supervisory Responsibilities

The successful candidate will supervise junior staff regarding construction, operations, and maintenance tasks. They will also be responsible for consulting with stakeholders on engineering requirements, using design software to communicate designs, assessing structural strength, and setting specifications.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred
  • Licensure as PE required
  • Proficiency in CAD and analysis software
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles and tools
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity
  • Excellent communication and analytical thinking
Software Commands

The selected candidate should have experience with Primavera, ETAB, MATLAB, and other relevant software. They should be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and working on a computer, ability to lift up to 15 pounds, ability to travel to project sites, and access to and navigation of job sites and construction areas.
