• Develop innovative solutions and insights into land use patterns and their environmental implications through advanced land use mapping and analysis using GIS and R programming.
• Apply landscapemetrics or similar packages to extract meaningful landscape metrics.
• Design and implement models to assess carbon dynamics in the landscape.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spatial analysis into broader research projects.
• Present findings through clear and compelling visualizations and reports.

1. Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and R programming.
2. Experience with landscapemetrics or comparable packages for spatial analysis.
3. A strong background in land use mapping and analysis techniques.
4. The ability to develop and implement carbon modeling methodologies.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
