About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress development, including experience in developing custom themes and plugins. The successful candidate will be able to design, build, and maintain websites using WordPress, a popular content management system. They will work closely with our clients and project managers to understand project requirements and goals and develop custom solutions to meet those needs. The candidate will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client specifications;
Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project requirements and goals;
Customize and modify existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client needs;
Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are optimized for different devices;
Conduct testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance of WordPress websites;
Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues reported by clients or end-users;
Optimize websites for search engines by implementing SEO best practices;
Ensure proper security measures are in place to protect WordPress websites from threats;
Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress updates, trends, and best practices;
Collaborate with the design team to ensure visual consistency and user-friendly interfaces;
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues when needed;
Document code, processes, and project specifications to ensure future maintainability.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in WordPress development;
Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins;
Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins;
Understanding of responsive design principles and ability to implement them in WordPress;
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git;
Knowledge of web standards, SEO best practices, and security principles;
Ability to troubleshoot and debug WordPress-related issues;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail;
Experience with other CMS platforms like Drupal or Joomla is a plus;
Portfolio of past WordPress projects is desirable.
