Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled SQA Analyst to join our team, with hands-on experience and expertise in manual and automation testing of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing best practices around quality delivery of RewardOps products by continuously building out the test suite, automating the testing systems, and catching bugs before they reach the production environment.

The shortlisted candidate will guide RewardOps development and product teams to utilize effective methodologies and procedures for our testing practices, ensuring high-quality features and code delivery on time. This role will be based out of the Contour Software Karachi office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of web applications and APIs.
  • Contribute to improving existing processes and create new ones to guarantee high-quality feature and code delivery.
  • Create, update, and execute automated test plans.
  • Investigate and reproduce client-related issues, reporting findings to Customer Service.
  • Continuously refine and review testing systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2-5 years of professional testing experience with customer-facing enterprise applications.
  • Experience with web application testing, including HTTP tests, front-end web component testing, and browser automation testing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Selenium, Ghost Inspector, etc.
  • Experience writing automation code using Ruby/Java/Python/Perl/JavaScript, etc.
  • Comfortable with Git and integrating tests into CI/CD workflows.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior experience working at a SaaS startup.
  • Load testing and performance testing experience.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Well-developed functional and technical skills.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality products and ability to make timely decisions.
  • Willingness to take unpopular stands if necessary; encourages direct and tough debate.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work with the DevOps team to implement automated testing systems and integrate them into continuous integration and delivery systems.
  • Closely collaborate with Product and Development teams to capture requirements and incorporate them into the test suite.
