Lead Risk Management Specialist

Description

We are seeking a seasoned risk management specialist to lead our efforts in implementing robust internal controls and ensuring the reliability of financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to drive business growth by identifying and mitigating risks, while promoting a culture of control consciousness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk assessment methodologies to identify entity-level and business process-level risks.
  • Design and implement control activities to mitigate routine and non-routine risks, including IT and Fraud risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop quarterly testing plans and ensure timely completion of self-testing by process owners.
  • Perform annual independent testing of key controls and validate Control Self-Assessment (CSA).

Additionally, you will:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop remediation plans for reported gaps/deficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Share best practices and standardize processes across functions.

Reliability of Financial Reporting

You will ensure the reliability of financial reporting by:

  • Maintaining records in reasonable detail to accurately reflect business transactions.
  • Providing reasonable assurance that transactions are recorded correctly and in accordance with approved schedules.
  • Safeguarding company assets and preventing fraud.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in finance function.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of controls, processes, systems, and COSO framework.
  • Exposure to audit and risk management.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work remotely with diverse groups.
  • Acting with integrity, collaborating, driving results, and decision-making.
