About The Position
This is a remote contract opportunity for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure. We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design high-performance architectures for integration, storage, processing, and analytics.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of Data products in the Aviation Industry. Key responsibilities include architecting, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data architectures; contributing to detailed design discussions; participating in product development; constructing and optimizing Apache Spark jobs and clusters; migrating from Azure Synapse to Azure Data Lake or other technologies; designing schemas and data models; developing clear, maintainable code with automated testing; collaborating with cross-functional teams; evaluating and implementing new technologies; designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance; monitoring and optimizing workloads and clusters for performance; mentoring junior team members; maintaining documentation of solutions and configurations; promoting best practices in data engineering, governance, and quality; ensuring data quality and security.
