Senior Front End Developer Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer with a passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces and a keen interest in exploring new front-end development technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as part of an agile team to deliver and enhance features for our products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experiment with innovative front-end development technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Work closely with product owners to assess the feasibility of upcoming changes and provide accurate project timelines.
  • Partner with our visual design team to create standards-compliant HTML/CSS/JS components that exceed user expectations.
  • Coordinate with software engineers to build, refine, and optimize our products.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Write clean, tested, modular, and well-documented code that sets industry standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has experience with mobile-first and responsive web design methodologies.
  • Is familiar with preprocessors like Sass, Stylus, or LESS.
  • Understands MVC frameworks such as Ember, Angular, or Backbone.
  • Knows how to utilize build tools like Gulp or Webpack.
  • Has good knowledge of Node.js, which is a plus.
  • Is proficient in package management tools like Bower and NPM.
  • Has a fair understanding of AMD, UMD, and Common JS patterns.
  • Knows how to address client-side performance issues.
  • Has a good eye for design and UX.
  • Can write modular and reusable code.
  • Is familiar with version control systems (git).
  • Knows how to use the command line effectively.
  • Has a good understanding of graphic applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
  • Has experience with Python/Django, which is a plus.
  • Is familiar with modern unit testing frameworks like Mocha and Chai.
  • Has excellent knowledge of working with jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • Has strong experience converting PSDs into pixel-perfect HTML.
  • Has a solid understanding of modern UI development standards.
  • Knowledge of PostCSS, SVG Animations, GSAP is a plus.
  • Understands the deployment process.
