Financial Analyst Position

Salary:

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled finance officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, conducting variance analysis and financial forecasting, and supporting internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and Analyse Financial Statements: Develop and implement financial reporting systems, prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  2. Ensure Compliance with Financial Regulations and Standards: Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and ensure that all financial transactions comply with relevant laws and standards.
  3. Assist in Month-End and Year-End Closing Processes: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reconcile accounts, and prepare journal entries as necessary.
  4. Conduct Variance Analysis and Financial Forecasting: Analyse financial data to identify variances from budgeted amounts, and develop forecasts to inform business decisions.
  5. Support Internal and External Audits: Provide information and assistance to internal and external auditors as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional Qualification: Articles completed, part-qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA
  • Work Experience: 3-4 years of experience in financial reporting
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of IFRS and SAP, proficiency in MS Excel and financial software
  • Personal Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently
