Job Overview

As a critical member of our warehouse operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless delivery of orders to our valued customers.

The assigned individual will be responsible for overseeing the 24-hour operational Darkstore and maintaining a minimum presence of 6-8 hours daily.

  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate end-to-end warehouse processes, including inbound management, stock handling, storing, and order dispatching on a timely basis.
  • Warehouse Management: Steer warehouse operations to agreed SLAs and KPIs, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively recommend and implement operational goals, objectives, and process enhancements to optimize warehouse performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Manage Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) procedures, ensuring department compliance with regulations through periodic safety & health risk assessments.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal efficiency in scheduling and warehouse operations.
  • Commercial Liaison: Collaborate with the commercial department to manage fast and slow-moving lines, spoilages, wastages, and shrinkages, as well as successful implementation of returns, refunds, damaged, and expired goods.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate periodical stock takes, maintaining physical and system stock variation targets within acceptable tolerance limits.
  • Policy Implementation: Effectively ensure that policies, procedures, and work standards are met and maintained.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate periodic maintenance of facilities and escalate any malfunction to the Realty Facility Manager.
  • Warehouse Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Order Accuracy: Ensure timely dispatch of orders with 100% accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience, with management trainees welcome to apply.
  • Depth knowledge of operations and first principles (e.g. supply chain, customer service, JIT, Six Sigma etc.).
  • Knowledge of industry's local legislation.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including vendor goods delivery teams, residential and commercial neighbors, and community.
  • Working knowledge of performance/operation metrics.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and demand forecasting tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of manpower planning and scheduling, including off days, leaves, absences, and variable demand requirements.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
