Job Description:

The role of a Library Assistant is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of the library. Key responsibilities include circulation of library materials, creation of metadata, verification of received materials, scanning contents for digitization, and maintenance of electronic records.

In addition to these tasks, the Library Assistant will be responsible for facilitating serials and database subscriptions, updating the log of serials, preparing and distributing journal Table of Contents, and assisting with search and retrieval of case laws.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, literature searching abilities, technical knowledge of libraries, and problem-solving capabilities.

The Library Assistant will also be expected to demonstrate a customer-centric approach, accountability, and responsibility, as well as creativity, diplomacy, and effective communication skills.

This role requires a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or a Bachelor's degree in Information Management with a CGPA of 3.0 and above. Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply.
