Job Title:

Frontend Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated developer to join our team remotely. This position offers flexibility with a range of hours per week (10-40 hours) to accommodate your schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and desired outcomes.
  2. Develop and implement interactive and visually appealing web applications using Wix Velo.
  3. Customize and extend Wix Velo components to achieve specific functionalities and user experiences.
  4. Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and services to enhance the capabilities of web applications.
  5. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in compliance with best practices and coding standards.
  6. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  7. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and glitches in a timely manner.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest Wix Velo features, updates, and industry trends to suggest improvements.
  9. Collaborate with remote teams, providing technical insights, suggestions, and innovative solutions.
  10. Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code and alignment with coding standards.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a frontend or full-stack developer with a focus on web development.
  2. Proficiency in Wix Velo and its various functionalities.
  3. Experience in integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON data.
  4. Familiarity with database design and management, including working with databases like Wix Databases or external databases.
  5. Understanding of responsive design, UI/UX best practices, and web design principles.
  6. Knowledge of SEO principles and optimization techniques for websites.
  7. Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with remote teams.
  10. Previous experience working in remote settings is a plus.
  11. A portfolio showcasing Wix Velo projects or web development work is advantageous.
  12. Relevant certifications or formal training in web development is a plus.
