Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a vital part of ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness, processing vendor payments in a timely manner, reconciling payable accounts and resolving discrepancies, tracking payment due dates and maintaining a clear payment schedule, and coordinating with vendors to address billing queries or disputes.
In addition to these core duties, the successful candidate will also be responsible for applying updated rate sheets and contract terms during verification, maintaining organized records of bills, payment confirmations, and communications, and assisting in managing monthly cash flow related to payables.
Supporting month-end closing by providing accurate payable data is also a key aspect of this role, as well as preparing and filing monthly sales tax returns in coordination with the finance team.
Strong attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, good coordination and communication skills with external vendors, and a strong command of Excel or Google Sheets are essential for success in this position.
Requirements- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred)
