Software Data Engineer Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled software engineer to join our team as a data engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about data engineering, big data technologies, and building scalable data pipelines.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work with experienced engineers to develop, optimize, and maintain data infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Working with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Optimizing database queries and data processing for performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Implementing data models and schemas for analytical and operational use cases.
  • Supporting data governance, security, and compliance efforts.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging data-related issues, ensuring data quality and consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and data services.
  • Basic understanding of version control tools and CI/CD processes.

Internship or Project Experience:

Previous internship or project experience in data engineering is required.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools and data visualization and analytics tools is a plus.
