Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Manager Insurance to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operations of our insurance function, including but not limited to:

  • Acquiring adequate insurance coverage for all life and non-life assets;
  • Renewing insurance policies and handling claims in a timely manner;
  • Liaising with internal departments and external parties to develop effective insurance strategies;
  • Reviewing and recommending changes to insurance policies to ensure they meet our needs;
  • Overseeing the entire claims process and liaising with surveyors/loss adjusters;

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounts or business administration, with at least 10 years of experience in a relevant field. Alternatively, candidates with ACCA certification and at least 6 years of experience, or CA/ACMA with at least 4 years of post-membership experience, may also be considered.

Candidates having ACII qualification/certification will be given preference.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage overall operations of insurance function;
  2. Renew insurance policies and handle claims;
  3. Liaise with internal departments and external parties;
  4. Review and recommend changes to insurance policies;
  5. Oversee claims process;
  6. Organize accounting and audit of retirement funds;
  7. Liaise with procurement and legal department on consultant appointments;
  8. Participate in gas purchase negotiations;
  9. Review bid bonds and performance guarantees;
  10. Facilitate tender floatation process;
  11. Ensure compliance with withholding tax statutory requirements;
  12. Advise management on RLNG imports;
  13. Review financial aspects during contract negotiations;
  14. Maintain effective coordination with SSGC departments and gas E&P companies;
  15. Assess inquiries received from insurance companies and other authorities;
  16. Implement coordination and liaison process for catastrophic events;
  17. Identify and assess risks under their management;
  18. Develop and implement risk response strategies;
  19. Monitor risks and response strategies;
