Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain our network servers, components, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Security: Develop and maintain procedures to ensure the security of our network infrastructure.
  • User Management: Add, remove, and modify user authorities as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve problems reported by end users for local and wide area networks, personal computers, networking equipment, and provide expert advice on these systems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure the performance of the network to optimize its efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of the network, telecommunications, and telephone systems.
  • Vendor Liaison: Establish and maintain contact with vendors for support and problem resolution.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise, train, and evaluate technical assistants in their roles.
Technical Requirements
  • Domain Controllers: Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 domain controllers is essential.
  • Access Control: Knowledge of ACL/UAC/access permissions and group policy is required.
  • Proxy Servers and Firewalls: Hands-on experience with proxy servers and firewalls, preferably MS ISA Server, is necessary.
  • Email and Messaging Servers: Experience with email servers (MS Exchange/MDeamon) and other messaging servers is required.
  • File Servers and NAS Devices: Knowledge of file servers and NAS devices is necessary.
  • Print Servers: Experience with print servers is required.
  • Wired and Wireless Networks: Understanding of wired and wireless network layouts is essential.
  • Remote Administration: Familiarity with remote administration and remote assistance tools is necessary.
  • Network Diagrams: Ability to create network diagrams is required.
  • Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of day-to-day scheduled automated backups and disaster recovery solutions is essential.
  • CCTV Surveillance: Experience with CCTV surveillance setup is necessary.
  • Desktop Support: On-site user desktop support experience is required.
