Quality Assurance and Control Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance and Control (QA/C) Manager to oversee the quality of our pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a satisfactory environment between production, warehouse, maintenance, and marketing in accordance with GMP and GLP guidelines.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a good working relationship between production, warehouse, maintenance, and marketing teams.
  2. Manage the smooth functioning of the Quality Control (QC) department.
  3. Authorize the release or rejection of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products based on valid grounds.
  4. Review and monitor objectives regularly and revise them as needed.
  5. Evaluate the laboratory's ability to perform tests according to specifications and standards.
  6. Oversee all purchases made in the laboratory, including reagents, equipment, glassware, chemicals, and microbiological articles.
  7. Ensure that bulk samples of chemicals and glassware are stored by the material management department under agreed-upon conditions verified by the QA/C Manager.
  8. Evaluate and approve suppliers and vendors.
  9. Assign complaints to laboratory staff for investigation of root causes and proposed corrective actions.
  10. Ensure that authorized personnel are performing operational work of equipment, performance, and calibration.
  11. Authorize activities to individuals based on their evaluation, experience, training, and satisfactory knowledge of testing, equipment, and calibration.
  12. Prepare job descriptions for each member of the laboratory.
  13. Ensure that all facilities required to perform tests in standard manners are available.
  14. Review environmental monitoring records monthly.
  15. Ensure that appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are available for all tests performed under the scope of accreditation.
  16. Ensure that open-hand instruments for all equipment are available in the laboratory and that appropriate personnel are trained to use them.
  17. Responsible for ensuring that correct data is transferred from raw data to final reports.
  18. Ensure that reference materials are certified against traceable certificates and that their standards are available if internal standards are used.
