Lead Software Architect

As a highly skilled lead software architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our platform.

Our team is dedicated to making healthcare more convenient and accessible for all Canadians. We aim to bridge the gap between patients seeking care and clinics providing it by leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions.

  • Design, architect, and develop new features and systems across the platform, driving technological advancements and modernization.
  • Drive major technology initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to scalable, maintainable architectures, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Architect and implement scalable backend services using serverless technologies (AWS Lambda) and modern APIs, promoting efficiency and agility.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, fostering cross-functional collaboration and alignment.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of software development experience, with a proven track record in senior or lead engineering roles, demonstrating leadership skills and expertise.
  • Deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks, specifically Next.js (App Router, SSR/SSG, API routes), enabling efficient and scalable UI implementation.
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js and serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework), allowing for agile deployment and management.
  • Solid cloud platform experience, preferably AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, Athena, Glue) and Vercel, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience with content management systems, preferably Payload CMS or similar headless CMS platforms, facilitating efficient content management.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL and understanding of data migration strategies, ensuring seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Knowledge of data analytics pipelines and tools like AWS Athena, Glue, and S3 for data lake architectures, promoting data-driven decision-making.
