About the Job

  • As a Ruby on Rails web developer, you will design and develop features in existing products according to specifications.
  • You will be responsible for developing frontend and backend applications, as well as REST APIs.
  • Your primary goal is to ensure the quality of code through guidelines and unit testing.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop new features in existing products based on specifications and best practices.
  2. Develop both frontend and backend applications.
  3. Create RESTful APIs for seamless integration.
  4. Implement rigorous unit testing and adhere to coding standards.
  5. Participate in scrum meetings to guarantee timely delivery.
  6. Maintain and support software applications at various stages.
  7. Pursue research and development to stay updated with emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • A strong foundation in software engineering principles, including object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), design patterns, model-view-controller (MVC), data structures, and algorithms.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML5, and PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Familiarity with REST API development and integration.
  • Proficiency in source control (Git) and unit testing tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, agile environment.
  • A self-motivated individual with quick learning capabilities and a responsive team player.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
