We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the development and optimisation of backend services and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in Go programming and cloud platforms, along with an understanding of best practices in scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Scalable Backend Systems: Utilise Go programming language to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that meet business requirements.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Build and manage cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential.
  • Application Security: Implement best practices for application and cloud security across the entire development lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with other parts of the application.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend services, cloud architecture, and application performance.
  • Containerised Applications and Orchestration: Optimise containerised applications and implement orchestration solutions to ensure smooth deployments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on Experience in Backend Development: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development with a strong focus on Go programming.
  • Cloud Platforms and APIs: Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience working with their APIs and management tools.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Strong expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Networking, Cloud Security, and Database Management: Knowledge of networking, cloud security, and database management systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have:
  • Certifications in Cloud Architecture: Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Open-Source Contributions: Experience contributing to open-source projects or showcasing work in public repositories (e.g., GitHub).
  • Familiarity with Serverless Technologies: Familiarity with server-less technologies and micro-services architecture.
