Our team is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the position of GBV Caseworker.
The GBV Caseworker will provide direct support to vulnerable women and girls, survivors of GBV, through case management and psychosocial services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide survivor-centred GBV Case Management services, including assessment, counselling, care planning, safety planning, and referrals.
- Coordinate with the Casework Supervisor and seek support when required.
- Inform survivors about available services and facilitate their access through referrals, accompaniment, service coordination, and follow-up.
- Distribute emergency cash and material assistance based on individual needs assessments.
- Participate in regular case review meetings and coaching sessions.
- Seek feedback from clients and adapt services accordingly.
- Support post-distribution monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records of service provision and case files.
- Ensure adherence to data protection and information-sharing protocols for client confidentiality and safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders and humanitarian partners.
- Collaborate with other service providers and community focal points to enhance access to services and support for survivors.
- Organize case management meetings with other service providers as necessary.
- Foster integration and referrals with MHPSS, child protection, health, and other sectors.
- Represent program goals and GBV standards.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.
- Foster a safe working environment for all staff and partners.
- Exemplify core principles of GBV programming, including respect, non-discrimination, and promotion of gender equality.
- Contribute to the organization's positive image and credibility through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Additional responsibilities include performing duties as assigned by the supervisor. The listed duties are representative of the work assigned but not exhaustive.
Required Skills and Qualifications• Strong knowledge of GBV programming and case management practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
