Job Title: Finance Leader

A leading organization is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to drive strategic growth and financial success. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial policy, managing risk, and ensuring the financial health of the company.

Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing financial strategies to support company-wide objectives. You will assess and manage financial risks and opportunities in exploration, production, refining, and distribution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a deep understanding of financial investment, treasury operations, payment, and settlement systems. Proven leadership skills in high-paced, dynamic environments are essential, along with strong analytical, strategic, and mentoring abilities.

To be successful in this role, you will require a qualified chartered accountant (CA) qualification, with additional certifications or a post-graduate degree. At least 15 years of professional experience, with 5 years in a senior-level role, preferably as a CFO in the Oil and Gas Industry, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support company-wide objectives.
  2. Assess and manage financial risks and opportunities in exploration, production, refining, and distribution.
  3. Manage capital structure (debt and equity) to align with financial goals.
  4. Oversee capital raising for development, exploration, and large-scale projects.
  5. Create and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  6. Conduct financial analysis for performance evaluation across business segments.
  7. Mitigate risks related to commodity price fluctuations, currency, and regulatory changes.
  8. Implement risk management strategies to protect against market volatility.
  9. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  10. Provide accurate, timely financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Support strategic positioning through assessment of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  12. Optimize cash flow and liquidity for operations and investments.
  13. Implement strategies to optimize working capital.
  14. Communicate with investors and analysts about financial performance and strategy.
  15. Lead efforts in tax strategy and compliance with tax laws.
  16. Use financial technology (FinTech) and data analytics to improve financial decision-making.
