Job Description:

  • Lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial planning, management, reporting, and control to drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee all financial management, banking, costing, and forecasting functions, while enabling data-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance across manufacturing and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finalize accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans in collaboration with business functions.
  • Ensure timely completion of audited accounts by coordinating with external auditors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions for LCs, working capital financing, and treasury operations.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with taxation matters, including sales tax, income tax, and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements, optimizing financial resources to meet operational needs.
  • Design and implement robust costing models to accurately capture standard and actual product costs.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend efficiency improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Centralize the accounts department to streamline reporting and standardize financial controls.
  • Provide timely and systematic financial reporting, including salaries, wages, and utilities analysis.
  • Offer financial insights to management across COS, selling, and distribution functions.
  • Support business model development and tools for improved decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Act as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO, providing input on business planning, risk management, and investment decisions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring continuous learning, role clarity, and succession planning.
Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized body.
  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance, with 8+ years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in banking, treasury, costing, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and working with external auditors.
  • Solid track record as a financial advisor to CEOs/Boards, with strong business acumen and decision-support capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
