About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as the University Vice Chancellor of a prestigious Medical Institution. The institution is dedicated to excellence in medical education, research, and healthcare.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical sciences and a proven track record of leadership, teaching, and research. They will be responsible for overseeing the academic, administrative, and financial aspects of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of strategic plans for the Medical Institution
- Recruit, develop, and manage faculty and staff
- Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching and research programs
- Ensure effective management of budgetary and financial matters
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
- Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations, industry, and government agencies
- Report to the Board of Governors
Required Qualifications:
- Medical or basic science qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
- Higher Diploma (FCPS, FRCP, FRCS, or US Board certification or equivalent)
- Ph.D. degree in a medical science (desirable)
- At least 7 years of administrative experience leading a department, unit, program, or institution
- Recognized leadership qualities and a track record in teaching and research
- Commitment to medical education and research
