The Center for Health, Education, Research, Advancement & Fellowship (CHERAF) Foundation is seeking a motivated and mission-aligned Full Stack Web Developer to lead the technical buildout and ongoing development of its two flagship digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop responsive, mobile-friendly websites using modern frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Build out RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs including Mailchimp, job boards, Airtable, LinkedIn, YouTube/Podcast platforms, and more.
  • Implement user registration, profile features, and content publishing tools.
  • Create basic CMS features for blog, newsletter, and updates.
  • Develop and automate content pipelines for newsletters, social media posts, and podcast uploads.
  • Integrate social sharing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.
  • Ensure basic SEO and accessibility compliance.
  • Optimize hosting and domain configurations using Netlify and GitHub.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and scale the platform as traffic and functionality grows.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React, or Next.js.
  • Backend skills in Node.js or similar with API development experience.
  • Familiarity with static/cloud hosting platforms like Netlify, Vercel, or similar.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integration.
  • Basic design skills with knowledge of Canva, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Working knowledge of Git/GitHub.
  • SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with automating or scheduling social media content.
  • Passion for working with nonprofit, mission-driven initiatives.
