Software Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of components within our consent management framework, build privacy compliance reporting features, and assist with data certification. Our team relies on skilled engineers like you to help us drive innovation in the field.

About the Position
This role requires a strong foundation in software engineering, particularly in data platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data lineage tracking capabilities, integrate data quality, privacy, and governance tools through APIs, and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management: Develop and implement data quality validation rules, column-level granularity for sensitive data, and other essential components within our consent management framework.
  • Feature Development: Build privacy compliance reporting features and data retention management capabilities, including API integrations for data quality, privacy, and governance tools.
  • Data Lineage Tracking: Collaborate with the team to create configurable data lineage tracking rules.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to achieve common goals.
  • Mentorship: Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers on data best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years focused on data platforms.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Scala is necessary.
  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, preferably AWS.
  • Infrastructure Skills: Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker) is beneficial.
  • Data Governance: Understanding of data modeling and database design principles, knowledge of data governance concepts, and a basic understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA).
