We are embarking on a crucial Data Transformation journey. As data becomes paramount to our operations, having the right data in the right place at the right time, accurate and consistent, is indispensable.

This pivotal role will play a central part in this evolving landscape, collaborating closely with the Technology Team and Product Owner to orchestrate and facilitate good data delivery to the business. You will work alongside Product Management, Scrum Master, Stakeholders, and assist them by listening to the business and challenging the Product owner for continuous improvement of processes within the Technology area.

You will be required to communicate effectively with both the Business and technical teams to capture requirements for new data and solutions and translate them into actionable insights for the technology team to develop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with relevant business Financial Directors and Business Stakeholders to understand the business logic, and translate this into requirements that can be fed into the technical team to build a solution.
  • Translate requirements from simple business logic into technical requirements for the Technology teams.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and Solution Architects to deliver requirements that inform the solution and test strategy.
  • Assist Sprint Manager in grooming and managing the team backlog as user stories with input from system architects/engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with sprint managers and QA leads to ensure efficient delivery and alignment with business expectations.
  • Drive process improvement across the business-facing side of the Technology Team.
  • Share knowledge with the wider business, working with other BAs and technology teams to document processes and ways of working.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate to the business on the status of items and blockers.
  • Maintain an end-to-end understanding of the data landscape and contribute to shaping future technological decisions.
Requirements:
  • Strong track record of business analysis in a technical environment.
  • Deep understanding of LDW and Data Lake architecture.
  • Experience working in high-priority data projects.
  • Expertise in breaking down problems/issues, documenting clearly for stakeholders to easily understand and prioritize.
  • Able to collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders, including development teams and BAs.
  • Effective working in agile environments and fast-paced organizations.
  • Significant understanding of Lean methodologies and ability to design processes accordingly.
  • Understanding and experience working in big data projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust the story based on context.
  • Highly technical with attention to detail.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Confident with an ability to challenge if necessary.
  • Structured and organized.
  • Able to work in cross-functional, multi-cultural teams with minimal supervision.
  • Able to multitask and plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Hands-on mentality.
