The Department of Microbiology invites applications for a Research Assistant position under a Higher Education Commission project.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join our team in the Department of Microbiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in research activities, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new research ideas.

As a Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on a project titled "Use of Saccharothrix Algeriensis NRRL B-24127 to control Fusarium within cotton". This project aims to explore the potential of a specific bacterium in controlling Fusarium, a major disease affecting cotton crops.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microbiology, with experience in laboratory techniques and data analysis. A Ph.D. student in Microbiology is preferred.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in conducting experiments and collecting data
  2. Analyze data and contribute to the development of research ideas
  3. Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to achieve project goals
  4. Prepare reports and presentations on research findings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or related field
  • Experience in laboratory techniques and data analysis
