Procurement Strategist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist to oversee the procurement of essential products and services for our company's operations. The ideal candidate will develop effective strategies to minimize procurement expenses, enabling the company to invest in growth and employee development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient sourcing strategies to secure optimal pricing and suppliers. They will cultivate relationships with top-performing suppliers to establish mutually beneficial partnerships and negotiate with external vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approve the procurement of necessary goods and services while ensuring compliance with established guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on price management
  • In-depth knowledge of available suppliers, market trends, and economic factors influencing procurement decisions
  • Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a procurement manager with a track record of success in minimizing costs and improving efficiency
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, including market analysis and trend identification
  • Talent for negotiations and relationship-building with suppliers
  • Proficiency in supplier or third-party management software
  • Decision-making and analytical skills, with experience working with numbers and data
  • Leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and projects

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration and experience in streamlining processes, reducing waste, and improving production times.
