Structural Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural engineering principles and be able to apply them in a fast-paced environment. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop structural systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of structural components into overall project designs.
  • Perform site inspections and conduct field measurements to validate design assumptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure safe working conditions on construction sites.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development within the team.
Requirements

For this role, we are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, and structural analysis programs, like STAAD Pro.
  • Knowledge of international building codes and standards, including ASCE, BS, ISO, and ASME.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
