Job Description:

The role of a Human Rights Coordinator is to support the coordination of provincial efforts for the implementation and promotion of human rights. This involves working closely with relevant departments to coordinate activities, conduct research, and provide technical assistance. The coordinator will also lead consultations, workshops, and other events related to human rights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of provincial efforts for the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP-BHR) implementation.
  • Conduct background research, draft agendas, take minutes, and coordinate events related to human rights.

Key Activities:
  • Lead consultations, workshops, and seminars on NAP-BHR implementation.
  • Prepare briefs, talking points, and other materials for senior representatives.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for the mid-term review process of the NAP-BHR.

Requirements:
  • Masters degree or equivalent in Human Rights, Law, International Relations, Development Studies, or a relevant field.

Languages:

English, Level: Working knowledge, Required


Skills and Experience:

National and/or international level experience in human rights, law, or governance. Demonstrated capacity to conduct high-quality legislative and policy research in the area of human rights.
