Job Overview

This position involves working under the supervision of the Head, Department of Nephrology to manage patients requiring hemodialysis at various campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee all aspects of patient care including consent, welfare, angio-access, counseling, hemodialysis prescription, investigations, etc.
  • Eligible to perform temporary angio-access on patients as per guidelines set by the Nephrology department in coordination with Infection Control.
  • Responsible for implementing standard operating procedures in the hemodialysis facility.
  • Must have valid ACLS certification to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergency situations.
  • Required to assess patients in emergency, critical care, or elsewhere for need of hemodialysis.
  • Responsible for listening to patients' complaints and performing clinical examinations of every patient being connected to hemodialysis.
  • Needed to enter clinical documentation of every hemodialysis session as per standards set by the Nephrology department.
  • Must generate and follow periodic investigations of hemodialysis patients as per protocol and make necessary adjustments in hemodialysis prescription and medications as per guidelines.
  • Required to brief clinical faculty about hemodialysis patients and obey orders in case of any clinical conflict.
