Job Title: Credit Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain accurate records of account receivable databases, prepare receivables and collection reports, and analyze customer payment trends.
  • Compile and review monthly reports on long outstanding balances and open customer balances to identify areas for improvement.
  • Respond promptly to internal queries regarding payments and provide clear guidance on credit-related matters.
  • Lead a team to optimize collection efforts.
  • Visit clients regularly to resolve queries, negotiate repayment plans, and collect outstanding receivables in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address credit-related issues, enhance recoveries, and implement effective credit control measures.
  • Ensure tasks are completed on time and adjust the workflow as necessary.
  • Negotiate and agree upon repayment plans with customers to minimize defaults.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and clients.
  • Organize and chair meetings to discuss key performance indicators, action plans, and results.
Job Requirements:
  • Proficient in Quick-Books software and have hands-on experience in its use.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Credit Control Department/Recoveries and Client Management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
Skills and Expertise:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
