Job Description:

This role involves managing and supervising the accounts payable department and staff within an organization. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Payable Department: Oversee and manage the accounts payable department to ensure that all financial obligations are met efficiently.
  • Maintain General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the company's financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Project Accounting: Manage project accounting functions, including tracking and recording financial transactions related to specific projects.
Tax-Related Processes:

The incumbent will oversee all tax-related processes and support AM taxation to ensure proper tax withholding and clearing of tax GLs in the software. This includes ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Financial Management:

The successful candidate will keep track of the company's financial expenditures, maintain a database, and provide reports as requested by supervisors. They will also oversee all payment transactions and ensure that the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors is properly tracked.

Standardization and Efficiency:

The incumbent will standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the team. They will also be active on the customer service front and communicate quickly and accurately.

Query Resolution:

The successful candidate will ensure quick resolution of each query within a reasonable time frame. They will also minimize payable aging agreed upon payable terms by improving the system and ensuring compliance with policies and SOPs.
