
Senior Bookkeeping Manager

As a Senior Bookkeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, and reconciliations for multiple clients. You will manage cash flow and reporting, handle project costing, and provide financial insights to clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, with experience working with US clients and knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the US. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, and reconciliations.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash flow and reporting for multiple clients.
- Project Costing:
- Handle project costing and financial reporting.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train bookkeepers/accountants and professional accounting staff in the finance department.
- Supervise and lead a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and task assignments.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the team's work.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Client Interaction:
- Attend client meetings for reporting purposes and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing financial insights.
Operational Excellence:
Monitor and ensure smooth operation of all bookkeeping activities. Implement and maintain best practices for bookkeeping processes.
Requirements:
- ACMA, ACCA, or CA finalist
- Experience working with US clients
- Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the US
- At least 5-7 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience (preferably 3-5 years of supervisory role experience required)
- Proven experience in managing a team of bookkeepers
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including cash flow management, project costing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Invoicing, Payroll processing, and Reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
