Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Masters degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or related field from a recognized university/institute.
  2. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a reputable organization with staff management skills and proficiency in KOHA and DSpace software.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of office/classroom equipment and inventory management.
  2. Proficiency in IT/Computer skills.
  3. Good communication skills.

Desirable:

  1. Seven years of relevant experience in a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining up-to-date records of libraries across all institutions.
  2. Keeping current records of library books, journals, and magazines by library.
  3. Preparing budget demands and proposing fund distribution annually.
  4. Scrutinizing and processing procurement proposals for library materials.
  5. Preparing various library-related reports and returns.
  6. Compiling office/classroom equipment budget demands and proposing fund distribution annually.
  7. Maintaining records of funds allocation and expenditure over the past five years.
  8. Scrutinizing and processing procurement proposals for office/classroom equipment.
  9. Preparing inventory reports for office/classroom equipment.

Requirements:

  1. Certification in KOHA and DSpace software or IT is preferred.
