**Job Overview**

Iqbal & Company is looking for a dedicated Medical Devices Director to oversee the after sales & service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to the sales / marketing team as well as clinical application trainings.

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all life saving medical equipment used by the Company.
  • Analyze historical data, upcoming scheduled work assignments, quality assurance issues, new equipment incoming inspections, and any other projects or equipment support needs. Establish processes to ensure all work requests from equipment users are addressed properly.
  • Work closely with the departmental team and clients on projects related to new equipment procurement, installation, renovation, modification, or removal. This includes evaluating medical equipment for potential replacement. May directly oversee project progress and status.
  • Contribute to and/or assist with the development of departmental and Hospital based continuous quality improvement initiatives. Enhance patient safety by promoting the proper use, application, and operational performance of patient care equipment. Stay updated on applicable standards and regulations.
  • Oversee service contracts. Regularly evaluate the cost-effectiveness of service contracts and provide recommendations. Assess the work performed to verify its cost-effectiveness and relevance. Schedule regular meetings with clients to review failure rates and repair histories on major devices and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance of dialysis machines or others according to service contracts or requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed at Nationwide and keep them up to date.
  • Ensure the organization stays informed about competitor activities.
  • Gain expertise in the operating, clinical aspects of equipment and support the marketing/sales team in demonstrations/installations/trainings during tenders, projects, etc., with or without patients attached to the equipment(s).
  • Conduct technical comparisons of competing products and engage in discussions with hospital technical teams during tenders, projects, and quotations alongside marketing/sales personnel.
  • Possess strong communication skills and be accountable for communication with manufacturer technical departments regarding technical support matters.
  • Foster strong relationships with clinicians, HODs, and the biomedical department to create specifications for medical equipment tendering, allowing for comparison with other equipment rather than our own.
  • Meet and satisfy KOLs about our product prior to and post-purchase, maintaining their confidence in the company's technical and clinical support at all times.
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical / Electronics, preferably accompanied by a BBA or MBA.
  • Hold 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position with exceptional management skills.
  • A biomedical manager must possess high-level analytical, efficient, detail-oriented, computer-literate, and technically adept qualities.
  • Display a pleasant personality with positive initiative & drive.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Show strong learning ability.
