IS Auditor

Job Summary:

• To examine controls within an Information Systems infrastructure, to collect and evaluate evidence of IS practices and operations in order to determine if the information systems are safeguarding assets, maintaining data integrity, and operating effectively and efficiently to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• This involves conducting Internal IS Audit projects to independently analyze and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of management control systems, company activities, processes, and procedures, which are primarily complex or high-risk assessed involving significant operational, financial, management, or technical considerations surrounding computerized information systems.
• The goal is to ensure that IS controls, standards, policies, and procedures are sound and adequate, and that IS installations, applications, and operations are reviewed and appraised as a service to management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analyses of IS audit projects to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of management control systems, company activities, processes, and procedures.
• Review and appraise IS installations, applications, and operations to ensure they meet organizational needs and goals.
• Participate in integrated audits with operational audit staff.
• Analyze, interpret, and document information to prepare complete, effective, and timely IS audit reports.
• Assist in reviewing the design and development of new information systems or applications.
• Review general controls of the IS function to ensure they are designed according to organizational direction and legal requirements.
• Review application controls of significant installed information systems to assess their reliability in processing data.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• CISA qualification.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in IS Audit, preferably in the banking sector.
