Dispatch Agent Role:

This role involves working closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing dispatch requests, utilizing dispatch software to track shipments, and maintaining open communication with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dispatch Coordination: Manage and coordinate dispatch requests to meet delivery deadlines.
  2. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  3. Dispatch Software: Utilize dispatch software and tools to track shipments, update order status, and communicate changes effectively.
  4. Route Optimization: Monitor routes and adjust dispatch plans as needed to accommodate real-time challenges.
  5. Internal Communication: Maintain open communication with team members to address issues, provide updates, and ensure a cohesive workflow.
  6. Client Support: Work with the customer service team to resolve client inquiries and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant certifications a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience: Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, or related fields preferred but not required.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick decision-making and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
