**About the Role**

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Business Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of financial reporting, internal controls, and system improvements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with group policies and IFRS standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal / external monthly, quarterly and annual reporting under IFRS and group policies
  • Focal point for group projects and responsible for technical changes in system and interface to process experts such as fixed asset capitalization
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting and execution of controls such as posting guidelines within the area of responsibility
  • Responds to inquiries from various functional areas as needed and prepares and assists in the preparation of required reports for management
  • Monitor the budget and ensure allocation and controlling and report on deviations, while communicating results to all stakeholders
  • Assists with projects relating to financial reporting/accounting operations initiatives, as assigned, such as working capital analysis, impairment testing, and integration of acquisitions and/or disposals of businesses
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities such as performing walkthroughs of a particular reporting process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing the change through automation or transferring the process to a shared service center
  • Analyze key Balance Sheet accounts and report on anomalies and take steps for resolution within the reporting timeframe Conducts quarterly Balance Sheet reviews including analytical review and enquiries with management to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with Daraz accounting policies
  • Initiate and lead process improvements
  • Support the Financial reporting and controlling manager with any additional ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification, such as ACCA, is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting systems and proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or accounting is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Proven ability to manage, analyze, and report on budgets, financial performance, and deviations
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects, providing financial insights, and managing system changes
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries from various stakeholders and collaborate with different departments
  • High proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) and other reporting tools
